Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania and is now an actor from Romania and Germany. Her most famous films are Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At the age of 16, she had already secured a number of TV roles for instance, the lead in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. Her portrayal of Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, from Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historic war film) was critically as well as critically acclaimed commercially. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are also Oscar nominated features featuring female stars. Alexandra's work has led her to be involved in a variety of important national and international projects. A few of them include the British biographical film Control, Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, as well as the French historical mini-series Napoleon. She also remained member of the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
